The girl was hit by a lightning bolt
This is the shocking video which shows a child playing outside with an umbrella during a storm when she appears to be hit by lightning.
In the video, the girl is seen standing under a drain as it dumps a deluge of water on top of her during heavy rain.
Daily Mail UK reports that the incident occurred in Asia yesterday.
She holds an umbrella over her head which shields her from the worst of the water.
When she decides she has had had enough of this particular game, she skips into the sodden garden.
But a lightning bolt appears to strike and hit the umbrella directly before the video cuts out.
It is reported that the child survived the harrowing incident.
The girl was lucky to survive the lightning bolt because she was doing a number of things that are highly inadvisable during an electrical storm.
Standing under an umbrella can increase your chance of being struck by lightning if it makes you the tallest object in the area.
Holding metal objects – such as umbrella handles - also makes you more vulnerable to lightning strikes because it conducts electricity.
