He revealed this during a Podcast interview with to Bola Ray on Starr Chat. In the podcast, a female listener who recently got married asked Chris for advice and he said

He replied: "Marriage is a beautiful thing and more importantly, Marriage is serious business. It's a partnership, it's not a game of chess and if you look into your bible, you will find out that God said, a man who finds a wife finds a good thing. It also says that man is better off on his own but if you do find a wife, you find a good thing. So it's an addition, you are an addition to that destiny.

"I think that we have forgotten what the fundamentals of marriage comes down to. When you love someone, you should be able to forgive, respect, submit and these are the things that are important."

Attoh added: "As a woman, you need to trust the captain of the ship. It’s truly important if you want peace in your home and I will always always resound this, it is amazing how many lessons you would find in your bible. If you're a Christian, trust me, it's your bible that will get you through your marriage days."

Bola asked him if he overlooked all the advice he is giving in his own marriage and if that was why it crashed, Chris Attoh replied saying  "No one is perfect and I'm not here to talk about my marriage"

Asked if he has any regrets about the crashed marriage, Chris Attoh replied no, saying that he has gained a wealth of experience.

"I feel like life is too short for any regrets. everything that happens, happens for a reason. I have a beautiful baby boy, I have a wealth of experience and I have a lot of work to do. There are a lot of youths out there that needs to be guided," he said.

Another listener called in saying that he is lying and accused him of cheating on his wife which she alleged led to the crash of the marriage. Chris Attoh denied the allegations saying that he never cheated on his wife. He said:"I can gladly say that I never cheated because I didn't find a reason to. when you keep yourself busy as well, it helps."

Akon Gave Me a Fake Wrist Watch as Birthday Present - French Montana

Superstar singer, French Montana has revealed how he found out that the wristwatch Akon gave him as a birthday gift was fake.

French Montana

In a recent interview with Funkmaster Flex, French Montana has revealed how he discovered that singer Akon gave him a fake watch as a birthday gift. French who was once signed to Akon for a "six month thing" revealed other interesting details involving his association with Akon which he is very grateful for.

Flex wanted to get the record straight on a watch story, so he jumped right in and asked French to tell what really went down with the alleged fake watch gift.

“We can’t tell the watch story, don’t tell it now,” said Flex.

“Oh, Stop! Shouts to Akon, he gave me a fake watch for my birthday, I’m heated. I'm still waiting for my other watch Akon," French said laughing.

French did make it clear that he has love for Akon, but you know Flex still had to instigate the situation.

“Akon I need you to fix this up. Keep it a buck. Listen, we gonna go on the ‘gram, we gon’ tell fake watch busters to leave you alone, they not gonna post this up. But, we gotta clear this up,” said Flex.

French went on to explain the story,

Singer, Akon

“It was my birthday too. He was like, ‘Close your eyes, I got a present for you. Then he put a fake watch on my wrist, I’m heated," said French.

Flex asked French if he knew it was fake at the time to which French replied saying,

“Nah, I didn’t know it was fake.”

French said he took the watch to a jewelers to be be cleaned and the jeweler asked where he got the watch from. When French told them Akon, the jeweler laughed in disbelief because he knew Akon.

It's been 10 years Akon, and French is still waiting on his watch! However, it could be actually that Akon didn't know that the watch he got him was fake.

OG Morning Devotion; Heed This Invitation (28-09-17)

Open Heavens 28 September 2017: Thursday daily devotional by Pastor Adeboye – Heed This Invitation

Topic: Heed This Invitation — Thursday 28, September 2017.

Memorise: In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. – John 7:37

Read: John 7:37-39 (KJV)

37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Bible in One Year: Esther 4-7, Ezekiel 48:8-20, Hymn: Sing Hymn 14 – Take My Life

MESSAGE:

“How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?” - Deuteronomy 32:30

Although praying corporately is good, it should never be regarded as a substitute to a vibrant personal prayer life. Some people quote the above scripture to justify remaining at the level of corporate prayers, and as a result they consider efforts towards personal prayers to be a waste. It is not a wasted effort! God wants to relate with us individually and develop a personal relationship with us, just as much as He wants to relate with us as a group. For this reason, in Isaiah 51:2, He said this to us:

“Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.”

Coming up next: Open Heavens 29 September 2017: Friday daily devotional by Pastor Adeboye – Delayed Provision

Even when we are in a group meeting, God still wants to maintain a personal link with each of us. God is a personal God. When two brothers came to give an offering to God, the Lord related with them individually (Genesis 4:3-10). How often do you spend time alone with God?

Moreover, there are great benefits that come from staying alone with God. If we look at the example of the widow of the prophet in 2 Kings 4:1-7, we can see some of the benefits of individual prayers. When she was asked to shut the door on herself, several things happened to her, one of which is that she went in empty but came out full. She took several empty vessels with her into the room, and all the vessels were filled up. Even today, as you personally separate yourself to access the Throne of Grace, your empty vessels will be made full. In today’s Bible reading, while attending the feast of the Jews, the Lord made a call. Although it was made publicly, it was a personal call. He said anyone who was thirsty could come to Him and be filled. If you can cultivate your personal relationship with God by creating regular time to be in His presence, you will always be filled, even when you enter His presence empty. Today, the Lord is sending you an invitation to come into His presence and He will fill you up. Your emptiness can be completely swallowed up as you spend personal time with Him. Are you ready to have your emptiness filled? How hungry are you? It is your level of hunger and thirst for Him that will determine how filled you will get, So, how hungry or thirsty are you today?

Action Point: Identify things that are working against your ability to spend time alone with God and prayerfully deal with them.

Politics Trump tweets video of Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt pausing for the US national anthem

President Donald Trump continued a multiday crusade against athletes who kneel during the US national anthem by tweeting a video of Jamaican Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt.

"Even Usain Bolt from Jamaica, one of the greatest runners and athletes of all time, showed RESPECT for our National Anthem," Trump wrote Tuesday night.

The 2012 video shows Bolt, a native of Jamaica and an Olympic sprinter who owns eight gold medals, cutting an on-camera interview short to pause for the US national anthem at the Olympic Games in London.

Bolt turns away from the camera and his interviewer, and stands in silence with a Jamaican flag draped around on his back.

Watch the footage below:

Trump has spent nearly a week sounding alarms over athletes who kneel during the national anthem. The gesture is a peaceful protest meant to call attention to racial injustice and police brutality, as noted by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who began kneeling during the anthem in 2016.

The president has sought to frame the demonstration as a protest against the American flag, US troops, and the national anthem. Sports, news, and entertainment figures have pushed back on that assertion.

Others seemed to interpret Trump tweeting a video of Bolt, an athlete of color, as a signal that American athletes of color who kneel during the national anthem should follow his example.

Bolt commented on Kaepernick's demonstration in an interview with ESPN last September: "Everyone has the right to their own opinion. If you feel strongly about something and you want to voice your opinion, I feel it's your right," Bolt said

See How US Rapper, Young Dolph Was Shot Multiple Times In Hollywood (Photos)

Young Dolph has been shot in Hollywood and is being at a local hospital where he was rushed to.

Law enforcement sources say the rapper was just outside Shoe Palace at the famous Hollywood and Highland intersection when he was hit! Officers were nearby and they responded immediately.

At this time, no arrests have been made and it’s unclear how many people may have opened fire. We’re told he suffered multiple gunshot wounds but his injuries appear to be non-life threatening at this time.

It’s not the first time this year the rapper’s come under gunfire … back in February his SUV was shot at over 100 times while he was in Charlotte, N.C. His family had better pray for him. Someone is after him!!!

UEFA Champions League Matchday 2 Preview United, Bayern, Chelsea set to crush oppositions

Group A leaders Manchester United will travel to take on CSKA Moscow at the VEB Arena. United have had a fl ying start to the season so far, unbeaten in all competitions and picking up 16 out of a possible 18 points in the Premier League. Having made their return to the Champions League group stage they brushed aside Basel 3-0, but they will recognize that it’s a tricky encounter as CSKA themselves recorded a shock 2-1 win over Benfi ca in their opener. United will have Eric Bailly available after suspension, but Phil Jones, Marouane Fellaini and Paul Pogba are unavailable.

Basel and Benfi ca will be desperate to pick up their fi rst points when they face off at St. Jakob Park. Points are guaranteed to be dropped by either United or CSKA and they will look to get themselves back on track. Group B serves up a cracker as PSG entertain German giants Bayern Munich at the Parc Des Princes. Both sides made winning starts to their campaign and the winner here will go a long way in deciding who fi nishes top of the group. PSG were 5-0 winners over Celtic, with trio Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe all getting on the scoresheet.

Th ey also boast a strong home record, with Barcelona the only team to defeat them in the Parc Des Princes in the last 5 seasons. Bayern have lost just one game in the Bundesliga this season to nemesis Hoff enheim. Th ey were 3-0 winners over Anderlecht in their opener, but they will have to do without infl uential stopper Manuel Neuer for the rest of the year. It’s a big blow that the Parisiens will be hoping to exploit. matchday one, will contest the other game at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.

Atletico Madrid and Chelsea clash at the Estadio Metropolitano in Group C. While Atleti were held to a goalless draw by Roma on matchday one, Chelsea were 6-0 winners over FK Qarabag. Th ey have however won 3 games in a row and will look to make their new stadium a fortress. Chelsea have responded well to their opening day defeat to Burnley in the Premier League. Th ey have won 6 out of the 7 games that followed and are on the back of a 4-0 win over Stoke which featured an Alvaro Morata hat trick.

Atleti have had the upper hand in their last 5 meetings, winning 2, drawing 2 and losing 1. AS Roma will target their fi rst points against FK Qarabag at the Tofi q Bahramov Stadium. Th eir debut game against Chelsea didn’t go according to plan as they were thrashed 6-0 by the English side. Th ey will be aiming to avoid another embarrassing defeat against last season’s Serie A runner-up. Roma though haven’t won an away game in the Champions League since November 2010.

Th at’s a record they need to change under new tactician Eusebio Di Francesco. FC Barcelona will take on Sporting Lisbon at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Group D. Sporting rode their luck on matchday one against Olympiakos, racing to a 3-0 lead and half time before a lapse in concentration almost saw them throw the match away. Th ey managed to win 3-2, which was their fi rst away win in the group stage since 2008. Barcelona have won 7 straight La Liga games, with Lionel Messi being the standout performer.

He has scored 11 goals in those games and netted a brace in an emphatic 3-0 win over Juventus on matchday one. It will be their fi fth meeting, with Barca winning 3 of those and losing one. Juventus will face Olympiakos at the Juventus stadium. Th ey will be keen to bounce back from their humbling defeat to Barcelona, and what better way to do that than against Olympiakos? Th eir last 6 meetings have yielded 4 wins for the Turin giants, while Olympiakos have considerably underperformed on Italian soil, losing 7 out of 11 games. Moreover, Juve have star man Paulo Dybala in good form and he will look to open his account against the Greek side

Peter's Wife Not Responsible for P-square Breakup - Family Lawyer, Festus Keyamo Releases Statement

The lawyer representing Peter and Paul Okoye of P-square, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has said their wives are not responsible for the on-going feud between the twins.

According to DailyTrust, in a statement on Wednesday, Keyamo revealed that the wives have kept their respectable and dignified distances from all the issues involved.

He said; “None of these talented brothers is at fault. None of them is also wholly justified and correct in their individual positions. We also wish to state categorically that, contrary to widely held opinions, none of their wives is at fault. In fact, the wives have kept their respectable and dignified distances from all the issues involved. They have never interfered in any way.”

While responding to the recent leaked video online, Keyamo said the chambers are not responsible for the leak and would uphold the confidentiality of their disagreements.
“Our attention has been drawn to the on-going feud between the Psquare brothers in online, print and electronic media. We have also been inundated with calls from the media to authenticate the correspondence Peter Okoye sent to our office, indicating his intention to terminate the contract between the brothers for various reasons and the online video showing a purported scuffle between the brothers in our Chambers.
“Firstly, while it is obvious that none of these materials were released from our Chambers, we are thoroughly saddened and embarrassed by these developments. As their close friends and lawyers over many years, we have done our very best to manage their differences over time and very prominent personalities have been invited in the past to intervene.
“We are well aware that we have a duty to keep the details of their disagreements confidential, so we shall say nothing here on the issues at stake. But since the disagreement is now in the public domain, and our name has been dragged into the fray, we wish to appeal to members of the public to refrain from jumping into uninformed conclusions about this feud,” he said.

Keyamo further called on Nigerians to grant the Okoye family the privacy, prayers and support that they need at these trying times, adding that nobody’s life is at risk.
“We also want to state that whilst all the three brothers may have genuine grievances, nobody’s life is at risk. All the various incidents that happened in our Chambers (some as late at 12 midnight and 2am and one of which was captured in the online video) arose out of various meetings that were genuine attempts at resolving their differences.
“Whatever was said by all of them that were provocative were done in the heat of passion, emotion and anger. In fact, the incident in the video circulating online happened sometime around May, 2016. After all those arguments, we all still sat down and signed agreements and we were all happy.
“So, we appeal to everyone to please grant the Okoye family the privacy, prayers and support that they need at these trying times. I have also appealed to all of them not to grant further interviews at this point so as not to escalate the issues further. Whatever is going on is the usual siblings’ rivalry experienced in most families. It is nothing unusual,” he said.

I am The Only Rich And Established Up Coming Artiste – Peter Okoye Reacts

Psquare’s Peter Okoye, in what seem to be reaction to their viral fight video made public today, referred to himself as ‘the only Rich and Established Up Coming Artiste’, as he had before now, disclosed that he has gone solo.

Here’s his tweet below;

Simi Singer speaks about Adekunle Gold, raising kids and football

During her interview she got to talk Adekunle Gold, how she handles criticism and her love for football and Manchester United.

The public has been obsessed with Simi and fellow singer Adekunle Gold. There are numerous headlines about the pair since 2015.

When asked why people are obsessed with both of them, Simi said "I don't know why people are obsessed with me and Adekunle Gold, why, I suppose it because we do music together and his voice is on one of my songs and my voice is on one of his songs, so it does make people think something is going on, I can't seem to dodge this question but I guess it is what it is."

Speaking of celebrities who keep their relationships under the radar and those who love to show off their love life on social media, the beautiful musician said she's an advocate for doing whatever makes you happy. She went further by saying "" I am a very private person, I'm very careful with the things I put out there because I know whatever I put out there is going to go public that's why am very careful."

During her interview, Simi explained what she meant when she said she would hide her kids until they turned 26.

" I have seen kids do stuff on Instagram, it drives me crazy and I'm like what is a 9-year-old child doing on the Internet, he should be watching cartoons or play Super Mario and that's not happening. I remember when I was 9 all I was thinking about was my storybook and the holy bible.

" Now there is access to all these things, I think parents need to do more to protect their children. I know it is not easy but it's crazy because I know the kind of things I see on the internet. Even as an adult you need to dodge these things talk less of a child that is still forming their values and ideas" she explained.

We also got to ask the singer how she manages to shrug off critics who come for her because of her fashion style.

" There was a time I use to say, why are people so stressed out about my skirt for example, and then I realized that people can have their own opinion. I am honesty the kind of person who doesn't know how to be stressed about something. I know every person has the chance to get better. Honestly, I am not a fashion person. I like the sneakers, I like the T-shirt and face cap. That's how I get comfortable.

I'm just an artist, I love to sing and write, this is just me but if you are going to sit down and just bash me...there are people that actually me and advise me and you would know it is coming from their heart and there are those who just want to say something bad" she reveals.

She also said "The truth is I am not bothered. When you say you are not bothered, they say you are actually bothered maybe I should say I am bothered (Laughs). If you want to talk about it then its fine. I am good! I am fine! I don't even know what to say..."

Apart from recording music and mixing, Simi loves to read. Also, when she is not in the studio she reads or plays scrabble on her phone. She also said loves to hang out with her very close small circle of friends. and she doesn't turn up because of she's a really private person.

If she isn't doing any of these things, she is most likely watching her favourite football Manchester United play.

" I think I started falling in love with the club like two or three years ago when I have any free time I watch football, I genuinely love the game because, besides Music and Love, Football is the next thing" she says with a huge smile.

These are definitely good times for Simi as her new album “Simisola” debuted at number 5 on the Billboard World Albums chart.

A very excited Simi could not hide as she took to her Instagram page to gush over this new found phase of fame

Why Wenger dropped Ozil against West Brom – Keown

Former Arsenal midfielder, Martin Keown, has claimed Arsene Wenger dropped Mesut Ozil from the starting 11 against West Brom on Monday, because he doesn’t trust him.

The 28-year-old is into his final season at the Emirates, with reports suggesting he will join Manchester United as a free agent next year.

Ozil had missed Arsenal’s previous three games with a knee problem, before being named on the bench against West Brom.

Speaking live from the game on BBC Radio 5 Live on Monday night, Keown said: “I think he loves playing football, Sanchez, I don’t see there’s an issue with him.

“Ozil of the two players, are they going to sign, aren’t they, is the one I wouldn’t trust as much mentally, and I believe he’s not playing tonight because the gaffer really can’t trust him anymore.

“I think it’s a huge story that Ozil doesn’t play tonight.

“If you look at their pre-seasons, Ozil wasn’t in the German squad in the summer, he came back on the very first day of pre-season, and didn’t then start the season, there was a bit of suspicion around him

“Last year he went missing for a couple of months and I think that’s his tactic in terms of getting away from the football club.

“I don’t know – but I have a feeling that he’s going to take his reliability away from selection.”

My love, I can't say I've been around the world but one thing I can say is out of all the girls I've been with and the things I've seen the glow in your soul makes you stand out from the rest, from the very first moment we started talking I got connected to you, if you'd remember I told you that I'd never love again but you brought life back into me, you made me see the meaning of love,

You are my match.

One look from you can light a flame,
One of your smiles can start a fire,
One touch by you can set love ablaze,
One kiss of yours burns with desire I would like to say "I love you" today,

How the words echo within me,
A song I must struggle to sing
A tune I must dance to with you,
A poem that I must read to you

Your heart is a wall I cannot scale,
Yet won't abandon, nor leave behind,
I would like to say "I love you" today,

Baby mi I look at you and nothing else in this world brings me joy than the smile on your face , the beauty of your eyes, my heart skips a beat every single time I hear your voice. My heart desire , the one that burns through my veins each day that passes by I can't get enough of you,

I may not be with you to say this and it hurts but as I've always told you my love remember that we could be miles apart but no matter where you are, you are always in my Heart. I love you my hei hei, mi corazon Happy birthday to you Mon Cherie

Naija Carry Last, For the first time at Red Bull Culture Clash 2017.. Details

Red Bull Culture Clash 2017 For the first time in my life, I watched Nigeria carry ‘last’ in

“Naija no dey ever carry last.” That’s one consistent doctrine that I have been fed all my childhood, teenage and early adult years. I am a 25-year-old living in Lagos Nigeria, and if there’s anything that has been drummed into me, it is the notion that citizens of this great country excel amongst their peers all over the world.

But for the first time in my life, I saw Nigeria carry last. And I don’t know how to deal with it. “Naija no suppose carry last. We no dey carry last.”

It’s like watching the sun refuse to shine. Or a smartphone loses its programming integrity and begin to display signs of a bug. Or waking up to the chill of snow in Lagos. Or going into the toilet to find just a little toilet paper, and you stand there with your pants between your legs, solving latrine-algebra to find the best way to wipe with what fate has handed you.

It’s a tough and unsettling position to be in. Like a dry joke from your new lover that leaves you with the conundrum of whether to laugh or not.

Nigeria is a proud country. Its citizens are industrious and work twice as hard to achieve everything and anything. That’s how we are conditioned in a country where the system is set up against your success. In this great country, to be something, to do anything, to survive and to thrive require that you go the extra mile mentally and physically. If you succeed, it’s ‘in spite’, of the government. If you fail, well, at least you tried.

That’s why when we are exported to other parts of the world, we survive and thrive. Living within the borders of this country is a finishing school of life. You have an unfair mental and spiritual advantage to everyone raised in various parts of the world.

Patoranking presents Red Hot Sound System ahead of Red Bull Culture Clash in Johannesburg, South Africa on May 23, 2017

This is why we are the most arrogant in Africa. Although our country lacks in every other sector of life when compared to our ‘poorer’ and ‘weaker’ African neighbours, we carry ourselves like black royalty and look down on every other African who does not own a green passport. Our currency is weak, our healthcare is ailing, education in Nigeria is a scam, and infrastructure has never been great since the creation of this entity. But somehow we still believe that we are better.

This behaviour is aided by the few things that we are actually good at. We have a traditionally great football team. Nollywood, our movie industry, is the best in Africa, and the third best in the world. It’s just behind the great Hollywood and emotional Bollywood. Our scientists, when enabled come up with spectacular inventions which have contributed to improving the human experience. And then there’s our Jollof rice, which has been scientifically proven, without a doubt, to be the greatest meal on earth.

Argue with your ancestors.

But the most defining endeavour that has Nigeria standing taller than everyone else is in the music industry. Life in Nigeria has ensured that its inhabitants have enough daily inspiration and raw material to create the best music coming out of Africa. From the protest days of Fela Kuti who pioneered Afrobeat, down to D’banj, M.I Abaga, Wizkid, Davido and others, Nigerian musicians have always dominated Africa. There’s no arrogance here. It’s just the status quo.

Although our music industry is unstructured, we have invented ways to create, market and distribute content. During the drive to export African music to various markets, Nigeria has led from the front, with Wizkid and Davido signing mega record and distribution deals to project the art to, and benefit from non-traditional consumers of African music.

Afrobeats to the world.

That’s why I can’t seem to process the fact that the Nigerian team led by Patoranking lost at the 2017 Red Bull Culture Clash.

The Culture Clash concept was introduced in the UK in 2010, by the Red Bull Music Academy. It is Red Bull’s longest-standing music programme and has since made its way around the world, to cities such as New York, Lisbon and Paris. Red Bull Culture Clash is based on the classic Jamaican sound system culture.  It’s defined by the use of cutting-edge lyrics, fierce competition and ridiculously loud sound systems.

The rules are simple; four teams representing different cultures battle it out against each other. They are to use dubs, mixes and extremely loud sound systems to impress the crowd. The only criteria for disqualification is repetition. No team is allowed to repeat a song without altering the sound, or remixing its elements to provide a hybrid delivery.

The energy at Orlando Stadium was electrifying on the evening of September 23, 2017, as the four epic Sound Systems battled it out for the Red Bull Culture Clash South Africa 2017 crown.

Over four intensely competitive rounds, AKA fronting Top Boyz Sound System, battled it out against DJ Tira’s Durban Massacre Sound System, Patorankingand Red Hot Sound System and Admiral & Jahseed with African Storm - each repping their respective genres - Hip-hop, House, Afrobeats and Reggae. In the end, it was DJ Tira and Durban Massacre Sound System that won over the crowd and took the coveted title.

Nigeria, the giant of Africa, which had Patoranking repping Lagos, did not win. He was disqualified! Patoranking was disqualified because he didn’t adhere to the only rule of the game.

You see? They announced the only reason for disqualification was if you repeat a song. On the final round of the contest, Patoranking had the best performance when compared to everyone else. He was a true Nigerian maestro of the art. His team performed, the crowd was hyped, and he had the best guest artists. For special effects, he brought on Hip-hop prince, Nasty C, who performed ‘Juice Back’ and ‘Hell Naw’. ‘Mama Africa’ Yemi Alade was next. She joined him to deliver ‘Johnny’, before House legend, Busiswa, who handled business like a pro, performing ‘My name is’.

But you know who made them disqualify Patoranking? It’s Nigeria’s golden boy himself, Davido. Unknown to OBO, Patoranking’s team had thrown together a mix that involved the performance of the mega-smash hit single ‘If’. The song had been performed earlier by the team.

As expected. the moment Davido hit the stage, the crowd truly lost it. Africa’s most loved artist had just made an appearance and everyone felt his energy. He dropped ‘Dami Duro’, before proceeding to do the unthinkable; perform ‘If’.

It was at that moment, standing there in the crowd of over 30 thousand people that I knew that we had lost it. The disqualification was our portion, and we had earned it. Patroanking, Davido, his DJ and everyone who worked hard to deliver that set. We had thrilled the crowd without a doubt, but winning that battle cost us the war. It was a classic Pyrrhic move.

“If I tell you say I love oh, my money, my bod na your own oh, baby…30 billion for the account oh,” Davido screamed in unison with the crowd. It was a powerful performance to experience, and he gifted fans with US dollars which he sprayed into the crowd.

The energy was electric. But that electricity electrocuted Patoranking’s chance to win the night. Nigeria had shown up with force and the right strategy. But our refusal to obey a simple instruction had made us ‘carry last’.

As the hosts – Siyabonga ‘Scoop Makhathini’ Ngwekazi and Thapelo Mokoena – announced that Patoranking has been disqualified, you could hear protest noises from the crowd. Everyone wanted Nigeria to not carry last. But alas, we took last.

Not that the other teams were bad. But Patoranking had put in a shift worthy of champions. He just failed at the adhering to the fundamentals of the game. And that cost him the title.

Perhaps the Red Bull Culture Clash will make its way to Nigeria, where Patoranking might have the chance to redeem himself. But for now, he and every other Nigerian carried last in a music competition. In the wise words of Small Doctor, ‘Won ti gba penalty lo throw-in.’ (He had ruined something so simple in the most absurd way.)

“Sorry, my Lagos friend,” said Clara, my newfound South African friend, who had been lucky to catch some dollars from the doomed Davido performance. “Patoranking would have won.”

“Of course,” I responded with a weak smile. It was a weak consolation which did nothing to lift my spirits. Just like staring at the last roll of toilet paper, I was performing my personal latrine-algebra. In the end, after gulping a few Red Bulls and some alcohol, the pain sailed away, accompanied by my home training and consciousness.

NB:If it’s any consolation to you reading this, on my way back to Lagos via O.R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, I sat at the entrance of the boarding gate. The moment they announced boarding, I sprinted to the front and scored the prestigious honour of being the first Nigerian to board the plane. We might have lost in the Culture Clash, but I won in the plane-boarding Olympics. In some way that balanced out what happened to Patoranking. Unlike him, I, Joey Akan, a Nigerian by birth and by heart, did not carry last

Edison Cavani Rejects N428million from PSG to Hand Over Penalty Duties to Neymar

Edison Cavani shields the ball from Neymar during a match against Lyon

Spanish publication El Pais has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain striker, Edinson Cavani rejected 1million Euros (N428 million) from PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi to hand over penalty duties to team-mate, Neymar.

The publication claimed that Cavani was offered the payment, which amounts to the bonus he would receive should he finish as the club's top goalscorer in Ligue 1 this season, but the striker has snubbed the sweetener.

This comes after the Cavani and Neymar engaged in a spat over who should take penalties. In a bid to settle the quarrel, Al-Khelaifi spent the past week in negotiations with Cavani and his representatives.

Neymar was seen remonstrating with Cavani as they both stood over the spot arguing over who should take the penalty, having earlier squabbled over the taking of a set-piece during a game against Lyon.

Cavani and Neymar

The two forwards, who combined cost the French giants an eye-watering £253million, had seemed to be striking up a potent partnership after the Brazilian's world-record move from Barcelona this summer.

But L'Equipe reported after the incident that the pair had to be kept apart in the dressing room and while manager Unai Emery has said he will intervene should they row again, it has now been reported that the issue is yet to be resolved.

However, the Spanish daily has claimed that the has been cleared as Cavani has been given the responsibility ahead of Neymar.

#Revenge_is_sweet! Davido Shows Love To Wizkid’s Ex-girlfriend Justine As Revenge For Using His Ex (See Photos)

Davido has been apparently looking for a way to get back at his industry rival, Wizkid for using his ex-girlfriend, Sira Kante in his ‘Come Closer’ video, and seems an opportunity has presented itself.

Ladies and gentlemen I present ‘Battle of the exes!’

Davido who actually believes Wizkid did it as a way to get back at him has fired back literally in what looks like they are now ‘EVEN’.
