Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards once reportedly nearly pulled a knife on Donald Trump.
During the Rolling Stones big comeback tour in 1989, Trump sponsored one of the Stones shows at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall. But the deal was, the Stones didn’t want to deal with Trump.
Of course, Trump tried to interfere anyway.
At this point Keith pulled out his knife and slammed it on the table and said, ‘What the hell do I have you for? Do I have to go over there and fire him myself? One of us is leaving the building – either him, or us.
Trump eventually left, but not without a showdown. He brought his muscle, 2 guys putting on gloves, and 1 putting on the brass knuckles.
The Stones's security team was 40 strong with tire irons and hockey sticks.
We don't believe the Stones and Trump have ever interacted again
