BY AKANDE AMOS---THE Olu of Warri kingdom, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli I has appealed to members of the National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG to be united for the progressof the Itsekiri nation.The monarch gave the charge, weekend at Warri during the inauguration and swearing in ceremony of a new NAIG executive.Represented by the Director of Administration, Olu of Warri palace, Chief E A Tsola, the Olu while harping on the unity of the Itsekiri nation, stated that with thecurrent administration, the association would achieve greaterthings for the Itsekiri nation.In his inaugural speech, NAIG president, Collins Edema explained that the association is non-political and is meant to create a resourceful and brilliant labour force that will drive the Itsekiri nation forward.Speaking on the apolitical positionof the association, Edema said: “NAIG is strictly on a status of a non-political association devoid of any political ideology or affiliation except in advocacy role in matters of the common interestof the entire Itsekiri nation.”Other members of the new executive are: Joshua Ghereje, Vice President; Ben Eburajolor, Secretary; Nathan Benigho, Assistant Secretary while Solomon Sholuwa, Faith Aforigho and Alex Edun are to serve as PRO I, Treasurer and Provost respectively.
