US military flying machine has slammed in the southern province of Mississippi, killing 16 individuals, US media detailed Monday.
The US Marine Corps affirmed that an "incident" including a KC-130 happened at night, without giving extra points of interest.
The Clarion-Ledger daily paper and CNN refered to Leflore County crisis administration chief Fred Randle as affirming the loss of life of 16.
Each of the 16 casualties were on the Marine Corps airplane and there were no survivors, Randle told CNN.
The occurrence occurred around 4 pm (2100 GMT), the Clarion-Ledger stated, noticing that firefighters showered the air ship with immense layers of froth to suppress the fire.
The plane smashed in a soybean field on the Sunflower-Leflore region line, the paper said. Photographs posted on its site demonstrated tufts of dark smoke surging from a green agrarian field.
"Kindly join Deborah and me in appealing to God for those stinging after this catastrophe. Our men and ladies in uniform hazard themselves consistently to secure our flexibility," Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant said in an announcement on Facebook.
