The Nigerian Navy has intercepted bags of cannabis worth about 40 million Naira in the Badagry Area of Lagos State.
According to the Navy, this was possible as the Force raised its vigilance, not only on the water ways but in towns around the nation's coastal region.
The commander, NNS Beecroft in Lagos, Commodore Maurice Eno, said the Navy is on the trail of the owners of the hard drugs.
